If you want to improve your marketing, here are seven keys that can make a huge difference to your results:
Work out exactly what makes your business DIFFERENT. Then shout it from the roof tops and make sure you deliver that key difference.
Be passionate like a start-up company. Don’t lose that passion about what you do; demonstrate it in EVERYTHING you do.
Be DARING – Put your money where your mouth is. Plan a branded advertising campaign as the backbone for each year and build the marketing campaign around that.
Being absolutely consistent with your advertising and communication across all the mediums is ESSENTIAL if you want to get your message across successfully.
It’s better to be talked about than not be talked about. Get out there, be CONTROVERSIAL, but try not to overstep the mark! If you do, take responsibility and own up to your mistake immediately.
Budgets give you CONTROL, but unless you’ve got a huge budget, it’s a waste of resources measuring everything. You’ll know if it’s working soon enough. Measure when it’s easy and cost-effective to do so, otherwise go with your GUT INSTINCT.
Every 12 months, take time to DISCUSS and WRITE DOWN 5-10 things you want to achieve with the business in the next 12 months. Then build your marketing plan smash these goals.
